Embrace Your Relationship

 At Koala Wellness, we believe repairing relationships is not served by a 50 minute therapy session every week.  In weekly therapy, every time you finally get to the needed conversation, it is time to end the session.  That's why at Koala Wellness, we do trauma informed Relationship Intensives.  We are not restricted by requirements to diagnose one partner and change the work into a "fix my partner" session.  We are not bound to end the session just as the work is getting deeper.  We find that with relationship intensives, we do a 2 hour intake, and then a minimum of 4 hours of coaching in each session.  You leave each intensive with actual tools to use between sessions and this allows you to have less frequent sessions when needed.  Some people like to do full day intensives, and others choose the 4 hour option, depending on your needs and availability.  Relationship Intensives can also be for great for parent-child relationships, sibling relationships, any other important relationship to you. 

This is not an insurance covered service as it does not require the diagnosis needed for insurance and does not meet medical necessity criteria.

You don't have to be in a relationship to work on yourself in relationships.  Intensives are available for you explore and process how you are in relationships. This is especially helpful if you have had failed relationships, if you are in a relationship with someone who won't do therapy with you, or if you want to be your authentic self in relationships but are not sure what that looks like and how much of your upbringing is coming with you into this relationship. 

An Individual Relationship Intensive consists of a 2 hour Intake and then a 3-4 hour intensive.  It is not weekly therapy, but rather coaching to help you address your relationship needs and allows you to go deeper in one sitting rather than spacing out your treatment.  We use tools from Imago and Brainspotting as needed to support you in achieving your goals.
